Abiquiu Heat

There is something about New Mexico that feels right in my soul. I've spoken to many about it and this place is so special, so enchanted, so full of light and magic that I can't help but call it home. I was not born here, but I should have been. This piece was painted in the heat of June at Ghost Ranch near Abiquiu, New Mexico. Georgia O'Keeffe painted here and I understand why this land intrigued her. I also wonder if she ever felt like she were melting from the heat while she painted. (I did!)

If framing is purchased, this pastel will be framed with Anti-Reflective (AR) UV Protective Glass.
