My farmer and his wife grew and dried this plant. I keep forgetting to ask them what it is. They own a small urban farm in the middle of Albuquerque and I began buying produce from them during COVID. Their names are Josh and Katie and they own Whole Heart Farm. Mid-week they send out an email with a list of what is available and I order my veggies. On Sundays I drive to the farm and they bring my veggies to the car. It doesn't get more "farm to table' than this and is one of my most favorite weekly things. Katie offers these dried plants for sale occasionally and they are fantastic subjects to paint. The bulbs remind me a little of pineapples and the tops are fluffy purple hairs sticking out of the top. I think they are beautiful, but not as beautiful or as special as having a small local farm in the heart of a big city.
